PCG Finance/Asset Finance
Asset Finance
Fund the vehicles, plant and equipment the business runs on over their working life, or refinance assets you already own to release capital back into the operation.
Three structures
Which one fits depends on whether you want to own the asset and how you treat it in the accounts.
Hire Purchase
Pay for the asset in instalments over an agreed term and take ownership at the end. Ownership transfers on the final payment, and the asset sits on your balance sheet throughout.
Finance Lease
Use the asset for the whole of its useful life while we retain title, with rentals set against the term. Upfront outlay is lower than a purchase, and end-of-term options are agreed up front.
Refinance
Release cash against assets you already own and keep using them without interruption. Capital returns to working cash with no change to day-to-day operation.
Key benefits
Cash stays in the business
Capital equipment does not have to be bought out of reserves or overdraft.
Cost matched to use
Repayments run over the period the asset is actually earning for you.
Secured on the asset
The equipment carries the facility, which usually keeps other security free.
Fixed, plannable payments
Known instalments make fleet and plant budgeting straightforward.
Replace on schedule
Renew ageing equipment when the maintenance cost justifies it, not when cash allows.
Release trapped capital
Refinance turns owned assets back into working cash without losing their use.

Common questions
Do I own the asset at the end?
Under hire purchase, yes, on the final payment. Under a finance lease the end-of-term options are agreed when the facility is set up.
Can I finance used equipment?
Often, depending on age, condition and expected residual value. Send the details and we will confirm.
What deposit is required?
It varies with the asset class, term and the strength of the business. It is set out in the written quote.
Can I refinance assets I already own?
Yes. Refinance releases capital against those assets while you carry on using them.
Is insurance and maintenance included?
Not by default. Where it matters we will tell you what has to be in place before drawdown.
Can I fund several assets at once?
Yes. Fleet and multi-asset schedules are common, and can sit under one facility.
